I can't say enough of good things about Functional Floors. From the first phone call to make an appointment for an estimate to the ease of getting the exact date to start our project. The referral for movers was a blessing. We were stressed out from all the stories we heard about having floors refinished. But from day one when Chris S and Trevor arrived our anxiety disappeared. They got right to work explain everything in detail. We moved out of our house during the project which also gave the crew the room in the garage to safely store their equipment. Chris would text or called me every day to keep me up to date on the project even sending pictures of the job progress. Both were a great help in picking a stain color and showed me samples on the newly sanded floors. The end result was beyond our expectations. We had a few high traffic areas that really needed work. From wear and tear down to the natural wood to a large gouge and water damage we were unaware of in a hall closet from winter boots. Chris and Trevor did their magic and I can't tell where the damage was on our floor.I highly recommend Functional Floors. Everything went so smooth I don't know what I was even stressing about.

This company initially provided an estimate that included refinishing all rooms but later claimed that not all rooms were included. Although they admitted it was their mistake, they unfairly made the refinisher, rather than the estimator, absorb the cost. I fought to have the company take responsibility, but they showed no willingness to do so.Ultimately, we chose to compensate the refinisher directly, as it was unjust for him to bear the burden of corporate’s error. As for the quality of the work, it was average at best.

The team at Functional Floors worked quickly, mostly cleanly and were very helpful in helping us decide best options for a flooring refinish. We used functional floors to source the engineered hardwood floor we put throughout our new home. Although we did the installation ourselves, we absolutely loved working with them throughout the process. They worked with us to get a quality product at a very competitive price and had it delivered to us in short order. There was a big problem with the matching stair noses from the manufacturer, but they made every effort to make it right and got us the perfect color match on beautiful hickory to match the flooring. Scott was a pleasure to work with and very responsive whenever we inquired about status updates on our project. We are very happy we chose Functional Floors and will be back again when the time comes.

I recently purchased flooring with functional flooring for my laundry room . My experience from being to end was great. The atmosphere of the store was very welcoming. Scott worked with me and was amazing , I explained my vision to him and he was able to shows me samples that where exactly what I wanted , he also helped me select the right style of flooring for the room they where going in. Chris was also great and ga e us all the necessary information to install the floors on our own. Once the order was placed it came in sooner than suggested and the staff was very communicative and helpful with setting up a pick up time . I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Crew leader John was very professional and courteous in his interactions. He was clear with his communication and was great to work with. He listened to any concerns and laid out options that worked well. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality, clean-up and timeliness of the work. Results were quite dramatic. Jesús and his team were amazing. Jesus was very professional and keptme informed on the task by explaining the process and what to expect.He was very efficient and thorough.Each communication I had with the office personnel was very pleasantand true Customer Service. If I left a message I received a returnedphone call. Never any rudeness or unpleasantness. It was refreshing toactually speak with a person instead of pushing a bunch of buttons to geta response from a robot.Dan, was also amazing to work with, he answered all of my questions. I wasuncertain about the rooms to refinish and he made additional trips out,each time with the same SMILE he originally greeted me with on dayone. He made my project experience delightful. Crew leader was Craig by the way,it wasn't an option to pick. The workwent fast and efficiently completed in a timely manner. The whole crewwas polite, personable and professional. We were made aware of allareas of the project, so as to not be caught off guard on anything. I was extremely satisfied with the work performed by the crew at Functional Floors. They were professional, hard working, prompt, and dedicated. I had many questions regarding my floor refinishing, and they answered all of them without hesitation. The staff was amazing again this is my families 3rd time using thecompany. We our still COVID masking and so is the Jesus and the team.They are very respectful and also answered every question, evencleaned up yes they should already clean up but some still leave a messnot here. They didn’t walk on floor without plastic. Thank so much! Ithought the stair job was expensive for stairs NOPE after you see what isdone its worth that amount you pay. We had read oak wood trends andrisers with the top portion being laced. Just beautiful!Thanks Ms. Sherry she is amazing! It doesn’t cost to be nice and havegreat customer service. Thanks for helping me keep my family safe andnot judging by me asking if the crew was wearing mask and they wereand never complained.

Will did an AMAZING job! My house looks brand new- I legitimately teared up when I saw what a spectacular job he did. This is my first home and redoing everything is so exhausting but Will and the team made the floors so dang easy. He was super communicative and let me know what was happening every step of the way. I loved speaking with her and getting her follow up emails and informational emails was essential for me being prepared.Dan my salesman was so funny and easy going and was open and honest with me from the get-go. My job was completed on 3/24/22. I purchased my flooring from a big box home store. I chose Functional Floors because they were professional, helpful and competitively priced. The installation team was on time and informative during the process. My wife and I love how the floor turned out. I would highly recommend this company.

I hired functional floors to repair some engineered wood flooring that was damaged due to a hot water tank exploding. They came out to do the estimate the very same day I called them. Dan was very personable and professional and was in and out. I approved the estimate and scheduled the repair for early the next week. Garrett and his crew were on time and very polite and professional. They knew exactly what they needed to do and got right to it. They were able to use the additional flooring I had to repair the damaged flooring area, blending it perfectly so it is no longer noticeable. I ended up not having the correct types of transitions. They explained to me where to go to find matching transitions and how to find a good match. You can't tell any difference between the transitions I purchased and the original ones. Overall, the work was superb. The crew extremely professional and had a really quick turn around. I would recommend this company to anyone and I plan to use them again when I remodel my kitchen.

Zach and his crew were true professionals. Keeping me up to date through the whole process and making sure the job got done on a shorter timeline than originally planned. I had a small issue with a spot on the floors where the polyurethane did not take into the wood. I contacted Zach and he quickly responded addressing the issue and providing a time he could fix. The fix was completed within 2 days after contacting Zach and I was more than satisfied with the fix. The floors look amazing thanks to Zach and his crew. Anybody looking for flooring in the future I will be sure to recommend Functional Floors and Zach's crew.

From scheduling my quote to the final project completion, working with Functional Floors was so easy. Over the past few years, getting a contractor to even call you back can be a struggle but Functional was so responsive and flexible.Brian, our crew leader, was amazing! He let us know his plan every day and he finished the job 2 days earlier than expected. His work ethic was incredible. Brian is a rockstar and a huge asset to Functional Floors! The final product looks great. I was really impressed with how he weaved into the existing floor and seamlessly replaced damaged boards in the middle of our existing floors. Howard did my floors showed up on time did a good job and cleaned up. He called me at the end of the first day to let me know how it was going it was originally scheduled for a three day job but because the floors where so bad took him an extra day to sand the floors. They didn’t have to replace any wood which was nice. They made it super easy to pay was able to pay online. Will be using them in the future when i need the rooms done and will recommend to others.
